This guide explains how to create a new custom page using the ClubNest Dashboard. Pages are flexible, content-rich sections of your website. You can design them using modular content blocks and configure SEO and layout settings—all without needing a developer.
Step 1: Access the Pages Area
- Log in to the ClubNest Dashboard.
- In the left-hand menu, navigate to Website Content.
- Click on Pages.
- Click the Create button to begin.
Step 2: Fill in Page Settings
In the right-hand sidebar, you will be asked to complete some key page settings:
- Title
This is the name of the page, used internally and on the website. - Slug
This is the URL path of the page. It’s automatically generated from the title but can be edited manually. - Parent Page (optional)
You can nest this page under another existing page to create structured URLs and menus. - Layout
Choose the layout template for the page. This controls the page’s overall design and header structure. - Is Home (optional)
Toggle this on only if this page should become your website's homepage.
Step 3: Add Page Content Blocks
The main area of the editor lets you design your page using content blocks.
- Click "Add Block" to insert a new section.
- Choose from available blocks such as:
- Hero banner
- Text + image section
- Testimonials
- Call-to-action areas
- Photo galleries
- Course or match listings
- Custom HTML
Each block has its own options. You can:
- Rearrange blocks using drag-and-drop
- Collapse/expand blocks for easier navigation
- Duplicate or delete blocks as needed
This modular approach allows you to freely design the layout of the page from top to bottom.
Step 4: Configure SEO Settings
In the left-hand column, you can enter search engine optimisation (SEO) settings:
- SEO Title
Appears in search engine results and browser tabs. - SEO Description
A short summary of the page used by Google and social media previews. - SEO Image
This image is shown when the page is shared on social media platforms (e.g., Facebook or Twitter).
These fields are optional but highly recommended for improving search visibility.
Step 5: Save and View the Page
Once you've finished editing:
- Click Save to publish the page.
- A live preview link will appear showing the page URL.
- You can view the page on the frontend to see exactly how it looks to your website visitors.
If routing is enabled, the URL is based on the slug (e.g. /about-us).
Tips for Creating Great Pages
- Use clear headings and short paragraphs for better readability.
- Always add a relevant SEO image and description for social media previews.
- Use the parent-child structure for better menu organisation.
- Preview your page before sharing the link publicly.
- Keep content blocks consistent in style and tone across the site.
