Submit a Catch Report

This catch report form helps us build a clearer picture of junior and family angling in the UK – which species are being caught, which venues are working well, and what tackle is safe and effective for young and new anglers.

By logging your catches, you’re not just sharing a great day’s fishing – you’re helping the next generation of anglers find the right waters, choose the right rigs and baits, and learn good habits around fish care, safety and welfare.

Why your catch report matters

  • Helps juniors find the right species and venues. Over time, reports show where young anglers are catching roach, perch, carp, trout, sea species and more.
  • Improves fish safety and welfare. We can see what hooks, lines and tackle are being used and promote safe, fish-friendly rigs that reduce damage and stress.
  • Supports clubs, coaches and the Angling Trust. Aggregated data helps with funding bids, coaching plans and national reports on junior angling participation.
  • Keeps things accessible for new anglers. Patterns from catch reports feed into tools like tackle finders and guides, making it easier for beginners to know what to use.

The form only takes a couple of minutes to complete and can be used for junior anglers or for your own catches as an adult.
