Creating a Fishing Match
Fishing matches are competitive angling events that members and juniors can register to attend. Each match has its own date, venue, capacity, participant list, and results section.
Step-by-Step
- Go to Junior Management > Fishing Matches.
- Click New Match.
- Fill in the match details:
- Title / Name — e.g. "Spring Junior Open 2026".
- Date — The date and start time of the match.
- Venue — Select from your registered venues.
- Capacity — Maximum number of participants. Once full, additional registrations go to the waiting list.
- Description — Rules, format, and any other information for participants.
- League — Optionally link to a fishing league for standings tracking.
- Toggle Published to make the match visible on your website and open for registration.
- Click Save.
Managing Participants
Open a match and go to the Participants tab to see everyone who has registered. From here you can:
- Add participants manually (for walk-in registrations).
- Promote waiting list participants when a confirmed spot becomes available.
- Move a confirmed participant to the waiting list.
- Remove a participant entirely.
Adult & Junior Participants
Both adults (club members) and juniors can participate in matches. When adding a participant, select whether they are a Junior (select the child) or an Adult (select the club member user).
Printing the Participant List
From the Participants tab, click Print Participants to open a print-friendly list of all registered participants. You can also Download PDF for a portable copy to take to the bank.
Recording Results
After the match, go to the Results tab to log each participant's weight, points, and position. Results automatically feed into any linked league standings.
