Adding a New Ticket / Permit

Last updated: 9 June 2025

Ticket Prices

The Ticket Prices module allows administrators to define and manage the pricing structure for all available ticket types. These tickets can be configured by category, age group, rod count, and availability rules. Each price entry is linked to a specific configuration, ensuring flexibility and clarity across day, week, night, and season tickets.

This system is essential for clubs managing fishing permits, visitor passes, and membership-based access to waters.

Purpose

Each entry in the Ticket Prices module represents a single pricing option that can be presented to members or the public when purchasing a ticket. Prices are displayed based on eligibility and can be restricted to members only or made available to all visitors.

This module supports full control over:

  • Ticket categories (day, week, night, season)
  • Eligibility by age group (junior, senior, disabled)
  • Rod limits
  • Membership restrictions
  • Recurring/renewable options
  • Permit validity (fixed season vs 12 months from purchase)

Creating a Ticket Price

To create a new ticket price, go to Ticket Management > Ticket Prices and select Create Ticket Price. You will be prompted to complete the following fields:

  • Category
Choose the type of ticket this applies to:
    • Season Ticket
    • Day Ticket
    • Week Ticket
    • Night Ticket
  • Ticket Type Name
Enter a descriptive name for the ticket, such as “Junior Day Ticket” or “Senior Season Permit”.
  • Eligible Age Group
    Select the appropriate group:
    • All Ages
    • Junior (5–15)
    • Senior
    • Disabled
  • Number of Rods (optional)
Specify how many rods are allowed for this ticket, if applicable.
  • Member Only Ticket
Toggle this on if the ticket should be restricted to club members only.
  • Permit Last 12 Months from Date of Purchase
If enabled, this ticket will be valid for 12 months from the purchase date. Otherwise, the ticket will follow a fixed seasonal structure.
  • Allow Automatic Renewals
If enabled, the system may offer automatic renewal prompts or features (depending on implementation).
  • Price (£)
Set the price for this specific ticket configuration.

All prices must be defined individually for each combination of category, eligibility, and options.

Managing Ticket Prices

The list view displays a summary of all configured ticket prices, showing:

  • Category (Day, Night, Season, Week)
  • Ticket Name
  • Age Group
  • Rod Count
  • Member Only (Yes/No)
  • Validity Based on Purchase Date (Yes/No)
  • Recurring/Renewable (Yes/No)
  • Price

You can sort, search, or filter prices as needed. Icons are used to visually indicate the status of toggled options such as member-only access or automatic renewals.

Each ticket price entry can be edited or deleted. Changes made here will immediately affect ticket availability and pricing wherever tickets are presented for purchase.

Use Cases

This system supports a wide range of ticketing needs:

  • Junior Day Ticket – 1 Rod – £5
  • Senior Season Ticket – 2 Rods – £40
  • All Ages Week Ticket – 3 Rods – £20
  • Disabled Night Ticket – 2 Rods – £10 – Member Only

The flexible structure allows administrators to define as many variations as needed to match the club’s pricing policy.

Summary

The Ticket Prices module is the foundation of the ticketing system, giving administrators fine-grained control over the types of fishing permits available, who can buy them, and at what cost. With support for member-only access, age-based eligibility, recurring options, and custom validity periods, this module is built to accommodate both simple and complex pricing models for clubs and fisheries.

Each price is linked to a category and can be configured independently, ensuring clarity and consistency across all ticket types offered.
